Winter is pretty symbolic for me. Well, not only to me, but I'm sure there are tons of people that feel the same way I do. It helps you grieve as well as enjoy the times you had. But, that's my take on it. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me.

It's a really pretty song but I can't say it's one of my favourites It shows how strong Bayside are for carrying on, which makes me smile x

I really love the way this song was written so instantaneously after such a loss. I have such respect for the guys, that must have been so hard - letting your fans in on your own feelings... Or maybe they felt it was a way of helping them? I agree with "banditmille" though that it's not one of my favourites. However the way the song is written is just perfect, a beautiful, moving memory. It does make me sad too though. Ha, I actually don't know how I feel for the song. Nah, in a way, I felt it was good because, it allowed fans to totally understand the way the guys had been feeling. Be sad along with them..? It's a very powerful song. ...And, I can't explain myself, haha. xx

This song got me through the last two months with my sanity intact. Losing someone you love is the hardest thing in the world. I've been listening to this (and the whole acoustic cd) multiple times a day lately. It stops me from feeling completely lost and alone.
I'm going to quit being emo now.

What's wrong with being emo?
I know how you feel, there is this german band I love and they have a lyric like "you live all your life to die, what would life be without death?" I think about that a lot and it makes sense to me, I wouldn't want to live forever. Sure it is really really hard to lose someone! But would life really be better without death? Thinking about that gets me out of depressions sometimes .... Maybe I'm just weird

I get what you're saying, but that doesn't help me with the fact that I miss him and he'll never be there for me when I need him. Selfish, I know... But it's only been two months! Gimmie a little longer and maybe I'll stop being like this. I still feel guilty about being around when he isn't...

Don't feel guilty! Time does heal but it won't ever go away though, but you just learn to deal with it, somehow, that's at least how I feel about it and once you know how to deal with it, it gets easier ....
I'm from germany and moved In april 2005 to america, I left my best friend behind who is a retard, honestly he is, but I still love him. When I left he was in a happy relationship and was madly in love. Suddenly she broke up with him and he didn't know what he should do, usually I was the first person he went to .... But I wasn't there ... He tried to kill himself And I felt very guilty He is fine today but after all that I felt bad if I yelled at him, it always came to my mind "he could be dead now, be nice to him" so after knowing him for years and yelling at him a million times if he messed up I just didn't say anything
Today he lived with the girl who made him attemp suicide, they have a son, none of them is able to find a job, they aren't able to care for the son And all my friends blame me, because I stopped yelling at him and telling him when he messes up So don't feel guilty Its the wrong way to go Do you really think he doesn't want you to live? He wants you to be happy and you have no reason to feel guilty

I know. It's irrational. I'm working towards getting over it. It's hard. All I want to do is make him proud. I've let myself slide over the summer, but I'm picking myself up, clawing my way back out from in my grave, so to speak. I'll just have to keep trying... thanks xo

Just have some good friends and great music and keep trying. You will feel better with time. There will always be times in the future that you'll miss him, but it will get at least a little easier with time. It's alright to feel the way you are feeling for now. It'll be alright.

Winter is a great song and its one of my favorite songs by them it makes me cry most of the times that I hear it. I remember I was listening to a cd that I had made to play in the car and I put songs in random order and it it was while my parents were in Mexico because my grandmother had died. although I wasnt so close to her and I didnt like her all that much... but I was still sad. anyways the song played as I was driving and I began to cry. It was really sad and i bet that people in the cars by me were weirded out if they looked inside my car to see me crying and singing...

It's incredible. I actually used it for a public speaking project, we had to play and tell about a song that has a special meaning to us. But yeah, I try to only listen to it once in a while, it always makes me cry.
