I've only been to hot topic twice so I can't really say much haha But they have like band shirts and anything you can think of with bandstuff on it, blankets, bags, piercings, baby clothes They also have a lot of stuff for "punks and goth" like haircolors in pink or blue or so I didn't find much when I was there but its pretty cool, I just like shirts from shows or band that I actually saw better than from bands I know from TV

Hey Millie, it is sort of both. A LOT of the fake people do shop there, but there are some good things. Usually belts, buttons and some bands shirts. ::shrugs::

So, basically, I used to live out of hottopic, and really the only thing I ever got out of it was some of the coolest people ever. I never really had much in common with people at other stores in the mall, but I totally got along with all the people, and their clothes came in handy sometimes.

NO NOT GOTH 'n GO!!!!!(that's what I call that sad excuse for a "punk/goth" store) alot of the people that shop there are fake and the stuff they sell are just as fake as the people. Alot of the clothes they sell are made poorly and are overly priced. It's a corprate contradiction really. But it's sad that some of the stuff they do sell you can't relly find it anywhere eles around where I am. I hate how they mass produce shit in the name of being an original. I don't like how they market some of the bands. It's like these are the bands you HAVE to listen to if you don't you're so uncool that it's really uncool you loser. Whatever. I guess it's a good thing that Bayside is getting more known but at the same time I don't like it for the fact that it feels like they're getting bigger and farther away from the fans. The more famous they get the more shirts they sell at Hot Topic the bigger the places they'll play and it won't be a close personal affaire with them anymore at the shows. That's one of the reason I love to see them play. It's like me and all these people are friends with them and we're just hearing them jaming. Meh I'm rambling sorry just ignore me.

i enjoy being educated about a shop, if i ever get to america ill take pics of it, "the shop of many folks opinions" and then ill get my own opinion on it. x

Yeah, overall, Andrea is right Millie, you aren't missing much. But it has its own uses, as most things do.

I used to shop there a lot but now I feel so out of place walking in there. Lots of scene kids are at the one in my local mall. I have to go there soon though. I may look around in there...idk. They do have some good things though. I must say. :]

The store has some good stuff, but they promote themselves as something totally opposite of what they really are. They sell anarchy wristbands, and promote being a "punk rock" store, when you can find one of these shops in almost every mall across the United States. Calling yourselves a subculture but becoming a mallrat dwelling isn't right. If they would give up the entire "badass" imagery, I think people would enjoy the store alot more.

I can't decide what I think of Hot Topic yet. I think that other than having some CDs and a few good shirts, I dislike it.
